The most advanced humidity control system we have ever designed.
We design, fit, and look after whole-house dehumidifier and fresh air systems for Chatham homes, from the dockyard-era terraces on the hill streets above the Historic Dockyard to newer riverside flats along the Medway. No portable appliances to empty. No mould spray that never quite works. Just a home that's properly dry.
Britain's a damp country. Always has been. But add double glazing, cavity wall insulation, and a house full of people showering and cooking - and you've got a real problem. Most homes just weren't built for it.
Wiping condensation off the glass. Cold, damp walls you try not to touch. It's not just annoying - it's a sign something bigger is going on.
You spray it, you paint over it. It's back in six weeks. That's because the spray treats the surface - not the cause.
Dust mites love a damp home. If someone in your household is struggling with their breathing or skin, high humidity can make it worse.
Wallpaper peeling, plaster crumbling, timber going soft. Leave damp long enough and it stops being an inconvenience and starts being expensive.
Fresh air enters via a discreet external grille
The system allows for an adjustable ratio of fresh and recycled air. This lets you set the right balance of humidity removal and outside air. Both are dehumidified and filtered before entering the house.
Incoming air is filtered through activated carbon
Refrigerant system extracts excess moisture
Clean, dry air delivered to the central area or stairway
Chatham grew up around its Historic Dockyard, and a lot of its housing stock still shows it. The streets climbing the hill above the old dockyard walls, and around Luton and Waterfront, are dense Victorian terraces originally built quickly and cheaply to house dockyard workers, solid brick, small rooms, minimal ventilation, and very little insulation by modern standards. Combined with the Medway's damp, low-lying river valley air, that's a solid recipe for condensation once the doors and windows get sealed up for winter.
Further up the hill and further out towards Walderslade and the newer estates, houses are more modern, but they're often more airtight too, which just moves the same problem somewhere else: a family showering, cooking, and drying washing indoors, with nowhere for that moisture to actually go.
A dehumidifier from the local hardware shop treats whichever single room you put it in, until the tank fills up. It doesn't touch the cold solid walls on a hillside terrace, and it does nothing for the river-valley humidity sitting over the whole town. A whole-house system, sized and commissioned for your specific property, does both.
It's not a product off a shelf. Every Dryzen system is designed around your actual home - the layout, the age, what's causing the damp. Then we fit it. Then we look after it.

One central unit in the loft. Insulated ductwork to the central area or stairway only. No appliances to drag around or empty. It just runs quietly in the background, getting on with the job.
Alongside the dehumidifier, we bring in filtered air from outside, with an adjustable balance of fresh and recycled air. Stale, stuffy air gets replaced with filtered air from outside.
We're talking 25 dB - quieter than a whisper. Most customers say they forget it's running. Until the windows stop steaming up, anyway.
We don't just drop the kit off. Our engineers install everything, set it up, and come back every year to service it. You don't need to do a thing.
Damp air costs more to heat - most people don't realise that. Get the moisture sorted and your boiler doesn't have to work as hard. Some customers do see a real difference on their bills.
You choose the humidity level you want. The system monitors it continuously and adjusts itself automatically to hold it there - no dials to fiddle with, no manual switching on and off.
It's pretty straightforward, to be honest. We come to you, design something that fits, fit it, and keep it running. Here's the detail.
One of our lot comes out, has a proper look around, measures the humidity in each room, and talks through what they find. No charge, no pressure.
We go away and design something that actually fits your home. Full quote within five working days - no vague estimates, just the actual number.
Usually done in a day or two. Our engineers work mostly in the loft, so it's less disruptive than you'd expect. They tidy up too - always a bonus.
Once a year, we come back - new filters, full check, make sure everything's running properly. That's it. You don't need to think about it.
